Nautral Skin care

This post goes hand in hand with the last beauty post I blogged about. Along with trying out 100% green make-up products, I've also been testing out skin products from The Green Kiss. I didn't want to post this one right away as I wanted to test the products over the course of a couple weeks to make sure they really were working for me. I never want to post about a product that I don't truly believe in.

That being said, call me converted to natural skin care products! As with most women in general, I have gone through a series of trials and error looking for the perfect skincare regime. I'm not saying I've found the perfect one (does one even exist?) with these products, but they sure did improve the quality of my skin within a couple of days.

The products I've been testing are:

100% Pure Purity Facial Cleanser + Mask

100% Pure Purity Hydrating Lotion

Viva Amaze Anti-age Cream

Viva Aromatherapy Cleansing Gel

Viva Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum

For the first few days, I converted completely over to all my new little test products. My absolute favourite is by far the 100% Pure Facial Cleanser + Mask. It's probably my favourite mask I've used EVER. And I sincerely mean that. As I mentioned before, I've been dealing with a pretty bad breakout and after one use of the mask my face looked a lot cleaner and clearer. On top of that, this is probably the easiest mask to apply and remove which is kind of amazing. It glides on super smooth and leaves you with a fresh mint smell that makes your face feel all tingly. I'm kind of a sucker for that 'tingly-it's-working' feeling you get from masks. A note of warning though, when you wash it off, it foams. A lot. So if you're not using a face cloth to remove the mask, be prepared for a lot a foam. And as I said, it washes off as easily as it glides on. Definitely a must-own product!

The other product I've been super impressed with is the Viva Amaze Anti-age Cream. At first I was using it as mostly a spot treatment alongside the 100% Pure Hydrating Lotion, but slowly I started using solely the Viva Amaze Cream all over and have found the results are, as stated in the name, amazing. It's a pretty heavy cream, but I have found over time that even my oily complexion loves a heavier cream as opposed to an oil-free one. I would still recommend just using it in small amounts before using it all over as every skin type is different.

I'm also in love with the Viva Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I've been using it under my makeup and like the effects it gives after I apply my makeup. I just feel like my skin is a little more glowy and my makeup looks a little smoother. Also, you only need a small amount so I can see this product lasting me a very long time.

I will admit that I've gone back to my Origins Checks and Balance Cleanser because I do truly love that cleanser and have had no issues with it in the last 2 + years I've been using it. I wasn't completely wowed by the Viva Aromatherapy Cleansing Gel to switch over forever, but testing all of these products have really opened up my eyes to what Green Products can do. Not only do you just feel better about what you're putting on your skin, but they really work! I think I'm going to keep testing green products for my skin until I find the best combination for me and a cleanser that can outshine my Origins one. I truly believe you should only be putting natural things on your skin — makes sense right? Why would you want to smother your face in chemicals? But as someone who has lived off only conventional products, it's hard to let go completely.

I would highly recommend all of the products I've listed if you're interested in converting to natural skin care. I would also love to know in the comments if you've tried any other natural products that aren't listed here for me to try!
