Easy Christmas Bark

I adore the Christmas season. I am that annoying person that wants to put the tree up November 1st and have the house decorated with fairy lights and tinsel and anything else Christmasy!

I will warn you now, that there are many Christmas blog posts that I have planned in the coming month, so be prepared! I've decided to start the holiday season off with one of my all time favourite treats during this time of year — Christmas Bark. It is the easiest most delicious treat, and I always, always, always make sure I get my hands on some.

This is also a very customizable dessert. Depending on your preference, you can add almonds, nuts, cranberries, other candies — anything really. I'm the biggest plain jane however, and my go to has always been white chocolate and candy canes. Boring, I know. But I'm sure you'll be way more adventurous than me!

Directions

Prepare a baking sheet, or flat surface with wax paper

Melt baker's chocolate by placing in a bowl overtop a pot of boiling water.

Pour melted chocolate onto the wax paper and spread, depending how thick you want the bark, spread it thin or leave it chunky! You can also layer with different types of chocolate — get creative!

Sprinkle crushed candy canes over top and press gently into the melted chocolate.

Place tray in the fridge to harden. Crush it up and enjoy!
